Awards and Qualifications

In October 2004, CIPHER represented Brazil in the International ISO Committee for information security standards. At SC27/WG3, on behalf of Brazil, CIPHER voted a series of issues related to International Information Security standards such as changes and reviews of standards, creation of new standards and certification strategies. It was such a huge success that in addition to Brazil having its comments accepted in the revision of ISO 15408, CIPHER’s name was mentioned in the official and final minutes of ISO, it being listed as an official representative of Brazil with important names such as: NIST, BSI, EWA-IIT and other national agencies from ISO member countries.

CIPHER also actively contributes to (ISC)² – International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium and ISACA – Information Systems Audit and Control Association.

CIPHER and its team are constantly awarded prizes and attain conquests of high international relevance. The list below shows the main highlights in the past 5 years:

• 2010: Award from Check Point for the Best Project of the Year;

• 2010: Company certified with ISO 20000 by BSI;

• 2010: Company certified with ISO 27001 by BSI;

• 2009: Award from McAfee for the Technical Olympics for IPS;

• 2009: Award from McAfee as the Network Security Partner of the Year;

• 2008: Company certified with PCI ASV by PCI Security Standards Council.

• 2008: Award Júlio Koeller of National Highlight. The Award was given by the Minister of Science and Technology of Brazil in the I Technology Festival of Petrópolis;

• 2008: Participation at (ISC)² for preparation and revision of test questions for CISSP-ISSAP certificate;

• 2008: Award from Citrix as the best seller of Application Firewall worldwide;

• 2007: Company certified with PCI QSA by PCI Security Standards Council;

• 2006: Approved by Visa’s AIS program as PCI QSA;

• 2006: Award from ISS for the Best Sales Performance;

• 2005: Award from ISACA for the CISA Geographic Achievement;

• 2005: Award from ISS for the Best Project of the Year.
